Default Motor Trend Viper ACR vs Z06(w/Z07 pkg)

It appears hands down the ACR is the better track car, however I'd still take the Z06 as the ACR could never be used comfortably on a day to day basis...Plus the Z06 motor sounds way better along with the bells and whistles missing on the ACR....Check it out.

The ACR is everything the Z06 should have been.

Fixed, and agreed.

Spoiler: This ends badly for the Z.

Correct, a track oriented model that doesn't have issues on the track would be nice. But hey you can get a drop top automatic so that you can be the coolest guy at the weekly car cruise and talk about how you bought the most expensive one you could find.

25 pages of this and everything you can imagine both praising and excusing in another thread.

I know tire compound, heat and temperature makes a huge difference on cornering. Does anyone know if these cars have the same tires? It just seems like the corvette oversteer is worse then it should be.

Kumho Ecsta V720 (ACR) on the ACR which is a street/track compound.

Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 on the Z06

EDIT: I'm going to edit my opinion on tire as this is a special V720 version made for the ACR alone. It's too new i don't really know the differences from a standard V720. Is this a much stickier tire than the standard V720? I wouldnt think it would be THAT much so... but hey who knows. It's in the same tire class as SSC2, UTQG is worthless for comparison, so i dont know.

I think it is quite obvious the aero of the ACR plays the bigger role here, though, if we are between the SSC2's and the ACR V720's.

Wow........ A little jealousy? No need to disrespect someone for no legitimate reason.

Yep. Not sure why the same original thread gets posted all over the forum.
