I found these front brake rotor cooling rings in the cubbyhole in the back of my car, just after I purchased it. Called the dealer and they said they were there for me to install if I wanted to track the car.
Were anybody else's installed when they receive their car? Or is it the same story for everyone?
These are only to be used on the track. They should not be installed unless you are at the track.
From the Owners Manual:
Do not leave rotor cooling rings
installed after a track event, as
this can cause corrosion with
long-term use. Rotor cooling rings
are for race track use only. Race
track driving without the rotor
cooling rings may result in brake
pedal fade.
