4 total color losses for 2016 - New cuts announced
I will have to say it will be an interesting Bash event this year in Bowling Green. ( we will be there as always), If GM plans to keep the same amount of colors for Corvette, we will be looking at 4 more new ones then.
We have already lost the ability to order
Daytona Sunrise Orange and
NightRace Blue Metallic
Now the latest announcements of Corvette colors NOT To return are below along with their last order cycle order dates.
I truly cannot ever remember when GM had as many colors going down and possible new ones to introduce as we are seeing now

Laguna blue and shark grey are real favorites among many-hopefully there are close replacements with new catchier "descriptive" titles

I don't get Shark Gray going away. Isn't it the 3rd most popular color after red and white? add: Maybe SG is 4th? Where's black fit in?

It's going to be an interesting color line up in 2017.

yeah, this is a color you can dress so many ways with our wheel selections and all interiors give it such a different personality...

Shark Gray is just odd?
Maybe it is a more expensive paint color to buy - and GM wants to replace it with something very similar and charge $495 or $995 for it?
Otherwise, it makes no sense - it is a top 4 selling color.
I am not surprised by Laguna Blue - it looks like an all new blue pallet for 2017.
I now expect two lighter shades of blue (compared to NRB & LB): one similar to either Jetstream or Carlisle blue and the second closer to Lemans Blue or Navy Blue.

And another thing while I'm thinking about this: I'd guess they will go in the direction of more candy colors? You know, like the Lambo green, or a creamy non metallic orange like you can get on those cute little Dodge Darts you see driving around. Baby blue like you see on the mustangs might be kinda fun?

the new paint shop is supposed to be able to handle more colors and more complex tri-coat colors... White Diamond would be a nice color but be prepared to come up with lots more $$$$.
I can't believe they are getting rid of Laguna Blue... it was a beautiful color!

If you don't mix up the secondary colors, the lineup gets stale for someone to trade in for something different then the color he has now. Plus now those on the fence about ordering a Gray or Blue now need to get off the fence and "pull the trigger".

No kidding, was gonna wait to order a Laguna Z06 after seeing what's new for 2017. Now I have to make up my mind quickly or take a chance a nicer blue is coming......

It does seem like a much larger color change than normal. Sometimes GM makes some great moves with colors and other times we wind up with WTF are they thinking. Let's hope this year is more the former rather than the latter.

Laguna Blue is the reason I decided on a Stingray in the first place!
(But no, I opted for Velocity Yellow )
Sorry to see it go.

I was undecided between White, Silver, or Shark Gray when looking for a C7, went with Shark Gray when I saw it in person.
Love my Shark Gray Metallic and glad I didn't wait another year to get a C7
