Default Removing C7 Engine Cover

I need to remove my engine cover to have some graphics applied. Is this a big job? What all is involved?

Thanks...

The covers just pull off. The plenum cover you unbolt, undo the lines attached through it then clip the ties holding the spark plug wires down. There really aren't any surprises to it.

So the plastic "Corvette" side covers just pop off? and what sort of lines are running through the plenum cover?

The Corvette covers just pull off. Grab from the top to lift that side off first then the bottom will come undone.

I just looked, there's just a sensor you need to unplug. Just pull the tab and disconnect it. The lines run through the covers below the plenum. Once you have the covers off, it's pretty easy to figure out what needs to be unbolted, snipped and unplugged.

Actually, I did a search, but the forum search engine never works for me. I put in key words and end up with scores of postings going over periods of years that in many cases has nothing to do with the subject I am trying to look up. Very frustrating....

I agree, I've searched using terms like "engine cover off" and have never seen a pic of the engine in an actual C7 with the plastic cover off.

I searched "engine covers" and got this: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...r-removal.html

That should help you.

Many engine "dress up kits" include a graphics cover for the plenum that is a thin plastic cover that fits over the plenum and attaches with double sided tape. The fuel rail covers of course just snap off. If you look at the picture in my signature, the plenum graphic is a cover that fits over the plenum.

Elmer
That's the one I was remembering...good photos of each step.
You are correct that sometimes the search does not bring up exactly what you are looking for as the first item..often you have to look down the list a page or two to find exactly what you are looking for.
