Default Bad module?

Ok started with hard shift 1to 2 and2- 1
Then radio station select on s-wheel on blink
Next the air bag light flickered then steady on...
They tore out dash to get to module but no module available so
puting dash back to reprogram but may have to take dash back out if that doesn't work ...
Has ANY one else had any of these issues?
I do have loaner but .... still am having withdrawal. ..

Just an amateur opinion, but those all sound unrelated, except if you had a bad battery, shorted cell, or other low voltage condition - then all bets are off and all the computers can go crazy and all kinds of bazaar things can occur together.

I doubt that they are related. 1-2 shift has been a problem in the A8 and there are several threads addressing it.
As to the radio controls and air bag light I would bet that the part in the steering wheel is the culprit. I had a similar problem in my C6 and they replaced a piece that made contact with several items that were all related to what you are describing.
GO TO A DIFFERENT DEALER if you can, sound like the one you are using is cluless.

It sounds like you need to go to another dealer who want take your dash apart when they don't have the replacement part to correct your problem.

Or, a bad ground or loose battery connection.

Battery? I did have bat go down an not start and put charger on it ... it was before that radio acted up.
but what of folks that disconnect the bat for winter or it runs down? Now shorted cell .....but bat not gown down again. ..
I think fact made him redo it before sending new module. ... it is a new issue to him ... it is a smaller dealer but he has like 12 vetts there 4 of them are c06s
I miss my babby!

Uo date! Radio was reprogramed works again
Couldn't find issues with hard shifting but did whatever they do to make it relearn. ..
Air bag light.... new senser and module but still flickering then he found a factory wiring issue,
corrected and jest fine now.
He put over 14 hrs in it but factory only rembursed 8 and the parts...
Top it off the mechanic gave me two , almost new, 20 rear run flats that someone had them take off to put all seasons on! He said someone else got the 19s for a non z .. I like this chevy service center that is close to the Villages in Florida.

Good for you. Nice that things worked out and the bonus of the 2 rear tires was a great gesture by the mechanic.
Hope that all stays right for you, and many miles of smiles.
