Keep in mind there is more than one way for a dealer to enter orders.
Most just enter an order when they get a deposit.
Some, I think Kerbeck is one, wait until they have an allocation for each order and then enter. Doesn't make any difference. I think it's just that customers like to have a number sooner rather than later.

I think I had the same order code from Macmulkin the second they started plugging stuff creating my order. They sent me the order as a PDF to look over before it became official and went past 1100 or whatever.

Not sure if it helps, but I ordered mine on 1/11/2016. I spoke to the dealer a couple days ago (1/21/2016), and they received their allocation and placed my order. I should be seeing my order number tomorrow (1/25/2016).
