For all my counterparts braving the east coast storms, what do you do while letting our babies sit? Do you let it sit or do you start them up every couple of days, lemme know what you all do??????
There is no reason to start it every few days. If you do that without letting it fully warm up before shutting it off you could do more harm than good.

Yep. Don't start it unless you're going to drive it long enough to get everything warmed up and the condensation in the oil and exhaust burnt off. Stick a float charger on it and Stabil in the tank if it's going to sit for a long time, then just look at it.

'15 Z51 A8 is put away for five months (Nov-Mar) due to snow, cold weather and absolutely the worst streets with chuckholes during the winter months. New oil changed prior to storing in a heated facility, vehicle covered, tire pressure at 35 on carpet pads. Corvette battery tender attached. Full fuel tank but no additives and the engine will not be started till it comes out of storage. No problems with this procedure last year.
I drove mine recently, last Sunday afternoon. I just pushed the stop button, it is going to be a week or two (optomistic) until it gets fired up again, darn 30" snow storm. If it sits any longer I will plug in the battery tender.

mine sat for a month in rail yards etc...prior to delivery ...without charger ....fyi
C6 changed oil before storage, pumped tires up to about 40, either disconnected the battery or used trickle charger. 8 Winters, it always started right up in Spring.
C7 I take to FL with me all winter and drive it. There are a few good things about advancing age. A few.

Just let it sit and hook it to a battery tender. It will be fine.

GM ships them in hibernation mode - they can sit for up to 3 months like that. There are instructions in the manual to do so. Otherwise, many have gone dead in less than 30 days, and then you also have a ruined battery.
No, I never start my car during the winter layup. Fill the tank, maybe add a few pounds to the tire pressure to compensate for the cold, hook up a battery tender, kiss goodnight and cover over. Some change the oil, detail or do other operations. Up to you.
