The pattern is finally broken
I admit it. I like to buy new cars. I have purchased a brand new car every 12-18 months for many years now (37 to be exact). You know the feeling. That new car "bug" starts to bite and that is all she wrote...
But not now. It seems that pattern of behavior is finally broken. I have owned my AW Stingray convertible since April 2014 and I have NO DESIRE for anything else with a motor. This car is simply amazing every single day. I still walk out to the garage just to look at her and of course, there is nothing like the feeling I get when I slide into the cockpit and fire her up. Nothing is the same at that.
Guys, there is nothing by Ford, Dodge, or even GM that I would rather own. Nothing by Mercedes, or BMW, or Audi that flips my switch nearly so much. Certainly nothing coming out of Japan or Korea catches my eye. Even the "exotics" (which are all well beyond my price range anyway) leave me wanting.
Trust me, I have owned some very nice cars, to include one other Corvette (a C6). Nothing like this though...
I guess car ownership is a lot like getting married. When you find the right one, you know it, and it took me a few times to get it right there too...
No other car is like this. Enjoy yours. I guarantee you I am enjoying mine....
Cheers...

There are some beautiful Z06s in my local Corvette club. They are nice, but I still love mine...

Nothing wrong with being happy with the car you bought.

LIE2ME, I really like folks like you. I buy cars that are typically 1 owner and a few years old with low mileage. Just picked up my 2014 C7 this month.
Ha, ha. I know the feeling well. I'm "that guy" to my friends and neighbors. Great write up.
Coming from a C6 Grand Sport Convertible I went with a 2014 Stingray Coupe. My first Red Corvette, and loved it...but sorely missed the convertible experience and regretted not getting one...I just loved the lines in the coupe:

And when they announced the return of Daytona Sunset Orange, It was tme to move. Glad I did. I love my DSOM Vert...for now.

I have you beat on the number of cars and trucks owned. 85 so far since my first in 1965 (most of them new). I have to admit the C7 is the best so far although my 2012 Shelby GT500 was a very close second. However, there are 5 others that I would love to give a try if the right deal came along.
* Challenger Hellcat
* Dodge Viper
* Maserati Gran Turismo - Has a sweet little Ferrari V8 - (Unlikely)
* Shelby 427SC Continuation Cobra (Also Highly Unlikely)
* McLaren (Maybe in my next life)
