I wish I were wrong (I would be in line already for them) but it's just not happening!
Show me the proof!
wish granted

We will be updating the picture as soon as they arrive

They Already Released the info in 2014.

Quote:
Lee Willard from the Michelin Research Group is a familiar face at Corvette races and the Museum. As the central figure in developing tires for the Corvette he is clearly excited about the latest offering from Michelin

Together with our North American President and CEO Pete Selleck, and Chief Operating Officer Scott Clark (pictured right) and Corvette Racing driver Tommy Milner (left), we’ve introduced the new Pilot Sport All-Season 3+ tire. This tire is a big improvement over the Pilot All-Season 3, and what’s important about this tire for Corvette owners is that we have them in new dimensions in ZP run flat. We have them for the standard Stingray and the Z51, as well as the C6 Grand Sport and C6 Z06. One of the main reasons we created this tire was because of Corvette owners. They’ve come up to me at Corvette Museum events and at races, asking about when Michelin would come out with an all-weather tire for their car. This is our answer to that question and they’ll be available in October of 2016.”

I attended the Michelin talk at the Bash in April and my recollection is that the ZP version of the AS3+ tires WILL be available in the Base and Z51 sizes but WILL NOT be available in GS/Z06 sizes.

Luke,

Just curious if you have any information about whether or not Michelin will be increasing the available sizes of this run flat as time goes by. I'd like to see a 245/40R/19 to fit my BMW. Thanks.

no specific info but, the size offerings always increase after the initial launch of a new product.

I have purchased tires from Tire Rack (first set was back in 2001 and the last set was in 2015) and received great service and great price.

I have also purchased tires from Discount Tire Direct with great service and price, and I have also purchased tires from local merchants with great prices and service.

Every time I need tires , I check both TR and DTD and with local merchants for best prices. Products are the same no matter where you buy them.

Good news is that they will be available for the grand Sport and Z06. The C6 GS and Z06, that is.

Ditto, for more than 20 years in my case and at least a dozen sets of tires. They are a first-class operation, and I've never been disappointed in their service.

They have been saying that from 2014 for the Z51, always before the winter! But what winter is right! Guess they want to stop some folks from buying Pirelli Sotozeros that performance BMW's, Ferrari's etc use in Germany!

Real winter tires but have to be removed in the summer. Just like I did with snow tires for the many years I lived up North! Thankfully have lived in SC for the past 30 years and the C7 Z51 tires work fine all year long.

Good news for those that own a C6 Grand Sport or Z06, but not for those that own a C7 Grand Sport or Z06.

Please explain to me why a company would be taking orders for a product they will not receive. I've been doing business with them for 2 decades. Obviously, if you pay by credit card, and they don't send you runflats after offering them, you won't be paying a cent, and they'd be returned at Tire Rack's expense.

Next questions, do you believe the U.S. actually landed on the Moon? Who really shot JFK? And, why were alien beings from other planets kept hidden at Area 51?
Are you sure those aliens are really from another planet?

It is a response to a previous post by someone who declared he would NEVER buy tires from Tire Rack for some undisclosed reason. Pretty easy to understand if you know the context.

That’s a pretty bold statement with no reason given. Perhaps you would like to expound on why “you would never order tires from Tire Rack!”

Suzanne : Hello, I will be happy to assist. While I'm researching that for you, would you mind sharing your name, and email address with us? This is entirely optional.
15:33
I see the ZP version in our website. I will confirm availability now.
15:33
You : XXXXXX XXXXXX; XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
15:35
Suzanne : We have the Pilot Sport A/S 3+ 245/35ZR19 ZP available. Now I will check the rear tire size.
15:39
Robert, I also see the rear tire 285/30ZR20 Pilot Sport A/S 3+ 285/30ZR20 ZP. However, these tires haven't been launched yet. They should be available by mid-November.
15:42
You : Suzanne - Thanks! I have an additional question. Sorry if this seems as if I am questioning your professional knowledge but that is not what I am doing at all. There seems to be a running controversy within the corvette C7 ranks about the validity of these particular tires. That is whether they are really & truly "run flats. Can you elaborate?
15:43
Suzanne : That is an interesting question. I am looking into it right now. Did that controversy come up on a particular tire already on the market or about this new one that is about to be launched?
15:45
You : The new ones that are being listed as Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ Run flats.
15:46
Suzanne : Ok. We haven't heard about any changes in the ZP technology specifically for this tire, but I would like to send your request to our tire engineers if you don't mind. I'm sure they'll be able to clarify this controversy.
15:47
You : Perfect. Thank you!!!
15:48
Suzanne : You're welcome! I will send them an email in a few minutes and once they respond I will email you with the answer.
Here is the response I received last night from Michelin Customer Care regarding this issue. Michelin confirmed the new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ Run Flats are in fact real and true "run flat tires". Hopefully this will put this controversial issue to bed once and for all. The fronts are available now with the rears expected sometime in November 2016. If it does not satisfy a certain form member then I do not know what if anything ever will.

Sorry to hear about your flat tire. That’s always a pain in the a**. I am about to buy some tires and I am considering buying them through Tirerack.com. You made the statement earlier that you would never buy tires from them. Did you have a bad experience with them? If so would you share it?
