Default Order Event Status Code 3500?

I have a Z51 on order and my dealer gave me a code of 3500 today. I don't have this code on my cheat sheet that I use while trying to follow the order/build process. Just last week it was still at 1100 (ordered 7 Dec '15). The dealer, Hendricks Chevrolet in Shawnee Mission Kansas, says it "did not get picked Monday so it will get picked up for build the 1st week of February". Are they just blowing smoke to make me think things are actually happening? Do things actually move that quickly going from 1100 to having a TPW in a week? I am just about fed up with them as they haven't been upfront with me on much of anything during this whole process.

Once your order goes to 2000 (dealer has assigned order to an allocation and GM has accepted the order), progress thorough the 2000's and to 3400 can happen very quickly. I've only seen a couple of 35xx codes and they have been on vehicles built for export. Your dealer will also have the description of the status code the same place they get the code itself. Ask them what 3500 means.

If it didn't "get picked up Monday", meaning Monday of this week (Jan 25th), then it can't be at anything past 1100.

Hi Zymurgy, I just found out today I got moved to 2000 status. Based on what you have seen how quickly before the vehicle is built and shipped?

Your TPW is probably 2/15/16. Shipping can happen anytime within 10 days after build date. How long shipping takes varies greatly on where the car is headed. If it goes by rail, it could take 3-4 weeks. If by truck, 1-3 days is typical.
