I just received my Z51 Coupe and want to protect the paint from rocks etc right away. About a month ago I was searching for some front splash guards and found a company that made some oversized splash guards that were slightly larger than the tiny OEM splash guards. Of course I thought that they were overpriced for two pieces of plastic but what else is new.
Does anyone know of a good source for larger than factory splash guards?
My advice would be to get the factory splash guards painted like your car and then get a protective stone guard film to protect the rest. It's what I did. Looks nice and provides the best protection.

Good advice or you can also add sideskirts. Not cheap and the look is not for everyone's taste.
Apsis splash guards will solve your problem. Not cheap but they are wider than the tires and will solve the problem. Also, they are fiberglass. My '14 had Xpel film that yellowed slightly in the rocker area on my Arctic White car. I put Apsis splash guards on my z06 and can tell right away that they have pretty much stopped all of the dirt and rocks from hitting the sides. I also added the full aero kit to give the car the z07 looks too.
I had the GM guards in my 2014C7 and they did work keeping the car free from stone chips. I sold my C7 and bought a 2015 Z06,I put the GM guards on my Z and did get stone chips on rear quarter. I installed the ACS front guards on my Z and they stopped the chips. The ACS are longer and wider.

I like the side skirt look (Z06 style) and I had planned on installing a pair to prevent stone chips. But I would also like to stop some of the stones before they hit the side skirts. It looks like the ACS splash guards are the size that I am looking for. Just slightly larger than OEM GM.
Thanks,
Hank

GM guards
Acs guards
Yep, those are the ones that I have been looking for.
Thanks,

On the front they are not very effective considering the C7 shape. Just look at where GM put that heavy plastic, from the center of the door to the back wheel opening. After I added the GM Splash Guards I found the only way to stop stones from marking up that plastic were side skirts. Have had them for over a year and they also let me remove that marked up and discolored GM plastic!
There are many options, I elected to get carbon fiber to match my visible carbon fiber roof.

What did the APSIS splash guards cost? I can't find any pricing information on their web site.
GM guards on our a Z51 optioned car. Skirts going on as soon as I get them. Until I do the car is parked. 145 miles on it.
FWIW the heavy GM plastic protected my rocker panels until I installed side skirts. The plastic was marked and looked bad and ultimately discolored so I removed it over a year ago. My straight side skirts have provided full protection for over a year with no plastic wrap.
Hello, This is my first post so please excuse me if I mess it up. I also wanted some larger splash guards other than the factory ones as they just do not provide enough protection and do not extend down past the wheel well. So I made these and they provide the protection I was looking for. I have a few sets of these and some rear sets for sale. These are made of 1/4 inch thick masticated black rubber and cut on a lazer water jet machine. I only made a few as I was not sure how well they would be liked. What do you think?
Very nicely made and I am certain they are effective. However, I think they are a little to big and look too much like the mud flaps on my truck.
Chevrolet has an accessory splash shield that sticks out close to a inch compared to the flush original equipment. They are a direct clip/bolt on replacement and reasonably priced front and rear.
I think GM's factory splash guards work well enough in the rear, but I'd consider something like that on the front. Maybe not sticking down quite as far, though.
Those torch red ones from RPI are GM ones painted to match. They do not stick out far enough to cover the tire width nor do they go below the body to provide enough protection for me, that is why I made my own.
