Default Seat Heaters...

Are they pretty much worthless? They might get warm by the time I'm done with my 25 minute commute. Or is this normal for the C7?

I have posted the same question. Majority of answers are they get warm but in general don't work well.

They're pretty worthless in my opinion, the worst seat heaters in any car I have had. I also have a Honda Civic. In just a matter of minutes, the seat heaters in that car can have your *** on fire.

The seat ventilators are awesome though, much better than my previously owned BMW and Acura.

5 minutes may be fine in FL but it takes 10 in SC when it's 35 to 40 before I go to 2 then 1 bar! As you live further North can see where it would take longer!

The thick open mesh under the leather that makes the cooling good - slows down the heat transfer time!

The coldest I've driven mine was about 14 deg.
Still felt the heat in under 5 min.

Mine get "warm" on high, but I don't have to turn them down like I do in the burn your butt Avalanche we have!

Seems the more you use them the better the heaters work. After a few minutes I have to reduce the setting, gets to hot.

I would consider mine to be in the "worthless" category as well. No comparison to the '05 or either of our Caddys. I've seen all the excuses/explanations relating to the design that have been posted more than a year ago but that still doesn't make it right. In the same category as the non-functioning 'magic wire' that was supposed to aid closing of the hatch. That worked so well GM brought back the pull-down for '16.

Like C-6, gets warm. I have an Impala that will run you out of the car.

I like the seat heaters in my Avalanche, the Corvette has "seat warmers" not "Seat Heaters"

I don't know why but they seem to get warmer quicker this winter than last.
