Default Odd issue...door locks not locking by proximity

My new to me Z06 is not locking when I walk away from the car. I have gone through the manual and I think I am missing part of the setup screen that allows you to turn on this feature. I see the option for delayed locking but that is all. My previous '14 never had this issue and I am not completely unfamiliar to the C7. Anyone else have this issue before I go to the dealer and ask for help? Doors lock fine with the key fob and unlock automatically with the fob in my pocket.

Make sure you have passive locking turned on in the Vehicle menu, under the "Remote Lock, Unlock, Start" section

My car is haunted. The needed menu is back and the setting has been changed. This is the second time the menu has disappeared. Strange.

Some options only appear if the car is running.

Yes, I am aware of that. Thanks. I'm serious, I am on my second C7 so I am pretty familiar with the car. I swear there were times that these options did not appear on the menu of a running car. I swear the car would also lose the setting and stopped locking the door when I walked away then I could not find it on the menu to restore the setting. This will be the second time I have set this up on this car.

Hi commander112,

Another reason I appreciate the knowledge here. I wasn't aware of this feature, yet everytime I walk away is a PITA to pull my fob and lock the doors.

I read the manual, yet missed this one!!! I'm going to program this tonight.

Does the alarm arm, along with locking the doors?

I don't use the auto-locking, but I never pull the fob out to lock my door. I just hit the lock button on the inside of the door as I'm getting out. It stays locked after the door closes.

Ok, I programmed the auto lock and IT WORKED PERFECTLY. I love this car more every day I drive it.

I am even getting to like the 1-4 shifting. I know how to bypass it by changing up my driving style for the given moment, if I desire.

But, now that I don't need to fumble for the fob, this auto lock function solves a huge sense of frustration!
