I Bought 2 caps on line Amazon, 1 Std issue and 1 Mobil cap as pictured.
Stanard unit , Cut off the **** and milled it down to about 1/4'' (enough to fit inside the 2nd. Cap. You will have to mill down the circumference as well.
2nd. Cap (Mobil) cut off the bottom end off and mill down the inside of the
Cap to receive the first cap you altered.
Push both the top piece 1 & 2 piece together. Place on the engine and center the cap mark location of first cap to second cap.
Epoxy the two pieces together.
A fun project.
If you do not mind me asking where did you purchase you carbon fiber and red covers? They look super!
RPI for the fuel rail And, Oh, it was also RPI for the Plenum cover.
The Plenum is the rougher finish lessor cost than the smooth and I like it because it is more the finish as the original Plenum and more contrast with the smooth fuel rail covers.
For now, I'm getting my free changes done at Criswell, which only uses Mobil 1 on 'vettes. Once my free changes are done, I'll probably do them myself.
