I noticed that my tow hook is gone. I bought used so it may have been lost. Anyway, has anyone every had to use their and is it a worth while item to have? I had my C6 towed once and they didn't use a hook.
Only the c7s shipped to Europe had tow hook. I'll probably buy one myself but they are a little expensive for just being a big eye bolt. Can hurt to have it.

You also need a car which have receivers for the tow hook. They were a running change for the 15 Z51 and were on the Z06 from the beginning. I am not sure if the std cars in the US ever had them.

You can buy tow hooks in eBay that are very nice for around $25....
I made a custom mount that mounts behind my zo6 grill through the vent.... I can remove the tow hook anytime too

Is there a thread on what you made? I just signed up for a track day and now need to spend $$$ on tow hooks and a helmet . The zl1 kit looks nice but damn it's pricey
How do I pop the little rear hatch access to check and see if I have the receiver without breaking the tabs on it? Thanks in advance!
Nobody chimed in on this so I found a YouTube video with the access hatch off and figured how the hatch was attached to the diffuser. All you need is a small flat head screwdriver and a slight prying on the notch on the bottom of the plate (at 6 0'clock) will pop the tab there over the bottom lip and give you access. To replace it, put the top edge in first and press the bottom lip to pop it back in. Hope this helps! I did not want to break or damage this piece to confirm that I had the tow receivers. I confirmed by inspection were there and waiting for tow hooks.
