I want know if anyone has experience with the "ranger' quickjack. I own an 2016 Z06 and would like to know which model jack is best and if anyone has any other suggestions. The price is right for me and the portability sounds great. I do not have a very large garage, neither in height or width.
I have the new model BL-7000 on backorder. Supposed to come March/April. It is a little heavier duty and I intend to use it on my Tacoma pickup as well as the Vette.
I just bought the Quick Jack 3500 for my 2014 C-7. Quality is great, very easy to assemble. comes in 2 boxes, just put the hose fittings in and connect the hoses, add two quarts of trans fluid to the power unit and you are ready to go. Works great.
I ordered it from Garage Automotive Equipment

I have the BL-5000 and it works very well. I also have the MaxJax lift in the garage. I have used both quite a bit and would recommend either one depending on your intended use.
I use a Bendpak LR-60P but there are many others out there to choose from. I always park the car over the lift so it's not in the way and when I need it, I put on the pucks and lift it up.
I have the BL-5000XL, works great and assembly is easy. The jack frames are 75 lbs each so keep that in mind if you need to move them around a lot, I believe the 3500 are a bit lighter. They supply a handle which makes it easy to adjust while on the ground, depending on ones physical condition this could be a potential issue if you have to pick up and relocate regularly though. I have the AC unit but they also make a DC unit if you really want to be portable.

Does the 3500 lift the Vette up easily? It seems like it may be close to it's max lifting abilities. I was getting ready to get a 5000, but if the 3500 is capable, I may try that instead.
While it might lift it, using a 3500 pound lift to lift a 3300 pound car is a little too close for comfort IMHO. I understand that the fail weight should be much higher, I still think I would pass. While mine is rated at 6000, I still use several 6 ton floor jacks under the car and the lift rails just in case there is an issue. Not sure I would get under a 3500 lift with that car.
When it comes to jacks and lifts I prefer more safety margin, plus I like the ability to use it on larger vehicles like my P/U. One thing with the 7000 is that its minimum height is a tad higher (IIRC 1/2") than the 3500. I measured my C7 ride height and it will work.... not sure that would be the case with severely lowered cars. Remember with these you need to include the height of the rubber blocks. And the 7000 is almost 2x $ the 3500 on sale, but I will have it a long time.
