Whatever it takes to do the job correct I am for. Obviously if in house fails, customers are not happy, do what must be done to correct the short time situation, and plan for a permanent solution, Project Management 101... Short term temporary to long term permanent, but first you must admit there is a problem, not white wash it (no pun intended) so you can solve it.

Also my 08 only had one tiny run around the edge of the right rear wheel well otherwise it was excellent.

Where we both might miss here is assume that mine was good therefor all the others were good also. Same in your case yours were bad therefor all of them were bad.

PS. Everyone should watch this paint correction by Todd. Ferrari eliminated a lot of the orange peel (but not all of it), by aggressive buffing....so, instead of normal levels of orange peel, you got a One million plus dollar car all scratched up (and a little orange peel) from the factory.

Everyone has consistency problems with the orange peel issue. I picked up my father in law at the Lexus dealer and spent a few minutes walking the lot. It was truly shocking how some cars were almost devoid of ANY orange peel and others looked like they were sprayed with Rustoleum.

Ok, we all love our Corvettes, and want them to be flawless, but... it’s a f’n production car painted in an EPA compliant, high volume, water based paint shop. It ain’t a limited production car so it will have some level or orange peel and will never again be worth what you pay for it. So drive it like you stole it and take good care of it but enjoy the **** out of it. It’s gonna get chipped up a little when you do, and no clear wrap or ceramic protection is going to prevent all chips or etching, unless you never take it out of the garage except to rewash your clean car. A few years from now, when you finally have enough honestly earned battle scars, have your favorite paint shop repaint it to show quality and start over again.

Ever watch that show Bitchin Rides. With all their sheet metal prep and body filler applied. What are they doing when the vehicle is done being painted.
They wet sand brand new paint.Takes experience to not make a expensive mistake.
To expensive for me.Straight wheels have top priority.

NONE! XPel is a total waste of money. The paint still chips and cracks under the plastic film when hit by rocks. Its only a $60K car

I don't understand how you can make blanket statements like that. I think you need to take a time out and go to your car and take it for a long drive.

I ordered that 2019 in july 2019 and built in in end of August. Went back and forth on color. From orange to blue then white.
My 2016 sgm (on left) had a terrible finish. The OP was horrendous on the doors from a 45° angle in sun.
The white from the new plant is actually very good.

I have daily driven Vettes for over fifty two years. I drive them, I clean them and I fix them when they break. When I get tired of them, I buy a new one. I don t obsess over the little things. And, I don t need no stinkin' paint protection.
