Spring Mountain
Enjoy the experience!
T2
I learned so much at Owners School that I could barely practice it during the track sessions. Only getting 6-10 laps after learning something new is not enough time to really perfect it. I think I can excel in Level 1 by already having familiarity with the car, concepts and course.
I believe Day 1 of Owners School and Level 1 is the same. Day 2 of Owners School gives more "Tech Talks" that are specific to new owners, while Level 1 may talk more driving concepts. Day 3 of Level 1 is more track time and opportunities for the instructors to ride with you and coach you from inside your car, rather than the radio.
Level 2 is more advanced and would be OK for a Level 1 graduate and probably an Owners School graduate, but I just like to get as good as I can before moving to the next level.
I fear that I will be signing up for Level 2 before the end of the year. Man, sometimes I think being single would be much cheaper.
Owners School - $1000 + $2250
Level 1 - $3600 + $3600 + $300 (accommodations)
Level 2 - $3200 + $3200 + $225 (accommodations)
Crap, that is (would be) $17,375 in driving schools alone! I could have had the Z06 :-(
Well, I would not trade it for the world. How many guys have a wife that not only allows him to do this, but wants to do it too? I think I am a pretty lucky guy!

I was gonna mention to everyone that my dad's "coupon" had expired Feb 2nd, but on Feb 24th they still signed him up for late May class. They have to check with GM, but it's possible to do the $1000 class even if you're a bit past the expiration date.
As mentioned, they're scheduling about 2 months out right now, but I think you can reschedule one time for free should you have something come up. This means spots can open up sooner. $120 for extra nights, but they will combine the free night between multiple owner's class attendees if you're willing to crash in the same room. (I skipped this idea because my dad snores loudly.)
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
This is my last session from Saturday. I normally run my car with all the nannies off but after talking with the guys, sport 2 was a happy compromise.
My fast lap was 1:59.226 on their timers. Move to the 12 minute mark to see some of the fastest laps.
The advanced school was well worth it as the second day had 3 sessions that were "open". They had instructors all over the track to let you know where you fouled up.
I'm going to go with level 3 next.

No more three day classes for the C7 Corvette School.

prob leave the banana suit home though.
