Several posts about launch control, most all have been positive. Glad to see that yours was that way also.

Tried mine yesterday for the 1st and only 0-60 run ever in my 2016 A8 Base Coupe

4.2

My last C7 was a 2014 Vert a6 base, it did 4.2, but not the first time.

I know, just wanted to have some brainless fun. Question is, with the A8, do you go standard auto or paddle shift? I had 1/2-3/4 tank fuel, passenger and misc crap in the car. I am sure if I had 1/8 tank fuel and just me, I may be able to shave .1 to .2 seconds.

Full auto, the car will shift faster than you can

I have heard the A8 should do 0-60 3.7 seconds. Supposely the M7 3.9 using no lift shift.

I think under "ideal" circumstances. I pulled a 4.1, on 32PSI cold tires, on a warm day, with my 9 year old riding shotgun. I posted a video in another thread, fun, I was flamed for my poor fathering and practicing on an empty street.

That was using NLS. I'm sure 4.0, perhaps a 3.9 is possible to.

Hell, I had a full tank of gas too.

Oh no it's Ben again, being irresponsible with a child in the car.

Yes conditions would have to be perfect to get times under 4 seconds
I've read the Z06 will get 2.9 0-60.I'd really like to see that.

I have a Z and have heard the same thing. I think its totally possible. I had far from ideal conditions today and my first 2 tries were 3.7 and 3.5. That was also on MPSS tires.

My best with 429whp was 4.0, been hoping for good weather so I could try and get in the 3's, haven't used launch control since I did a 6k clutch dump with it haha, maybe I'll give it a shot this weekend, stars have to align to get a perfect time it seems
