Road Trip to Death Valley
Just completed a short road trip from Las Vegas to Death Valley. Had the Z06 for over a year now, and have enjoyed every mile--All 17000

Very good! How were the temps down there? Probably perfect for this time of year.

Nice looking car. How far is the drive from Vegas to Death Valley? I've lived in southern California and now Vegas for my entire life and still have never been to Death Valley.

One of my favorite trips this time of year.....we almost got all the way through the park before seeing any wild life;
A few miles from the south gate we were welcomed by a couple of Wily Coyotes walking down the road. One was looking for a handout, the other couldn't care less how cool the car was Highly recommend the trip to anyone if or when your in the area.....tons of history in the surrounding area.

Distance
Drove from Vegas to Death Valley up 95 and entered via Death Valley Junction to Furnace Creek. The north and south entrances are closed due to damaged roads caused by flooding several months ago. Drove south in the park to Bad Water (lowest point in the park)and several miles beyond to see the rare blooming flowers. The last few photos were taken along Artist Drive (a short one way loop). Entire trip from start to finish was 350 miles. I came back through Pahrump to have a change in scenery and checkout Spring Mountain Motorsports (Corvette driving school) There are facilities in furnace Creek for eating, gas etc. Great road trip if you get the chance.

Nice! I'll be making the trip in May. And then on to tour the rest of the west coast. Anxious to see what kinda temps I'll encounter in the valley. Hopefully I want have to give Mr. Goodwrench a call! Maybe I'll come back through in August to really get the experience!

Looks like Coyote is a fan of the Z - he got up close for a good look.

Did Death Valley after my two day at Spring Mountain three weeks ago. A must see!! Bad weather was setting in so our stay was short and we had to get back to Las Vegas. I knew about the potential of a colorful wildflower display but had no idea of the different rock formations and their color. The Inn at Furnace Creek looked to be a great place for an overnight, a casual lunch, or just a rest point for a cocktail overlooking the valley! Unfortunately we were in a rental car. Would have loved to either have had the C7 or one of my Ducatis!
