First off I know the Vette is no car for packing for a long trip, but with that said I have the opportunity this summer to travel to Florida for a week and play in a pro am golf tournament. My problem is how am I going to get my Golf clubs in the car plus our luggage for a week? I want to drive the Z06 so bad because of the weather and beaches and having the car there with us! Any advice on packing or how to get golf clubs to fit? Thanks!

Could you ship the golf clubs and some of the luggage to your destination ahead of time?

How about renting a tiny Uhaul trailer and hauling it? I've seen very small ones that are just a small trailer box on wheels.

Go with a small carry bag for your clubs, leave the cart bag at home.

Is it a coupe or vert? I can get my clubs and enough luggage for a week in my vert as long as I don't put the top down. You can also use shipsticks.com to ship the clubs down and back for a pretty decent price and then not worry about room in the C7.

Pack light, and use a washing machine. That's what we do. We have been on several 3 week road trips with just a duffle bag for cloths. We think of it as adventure traveling.

Just bring the clubs and shoes, buy/rent a cheap bag while there. You might be able to stick the clubs behind your seat against the waterfall if you cover the heads with something leaving the entire trunk for luggage.

You can put everything you need in a Walmart bag or daypack. Allow your wife one bag and a credit card. There are clothing stores and washing machines in Florida. If you pack in soft luggage you will be amazed at how much the car will hold.

Default Vette Luggage

While we're on the subject, does anyone know if the 5 pieces of Vette luggage will fit in the trunk of a vert with the top down?

They won't, although a surprising amount of luggage will fit with the top down. With the top up and the panel where the top fits when down unlatched there is actually quite a lot of room in the vert trunk.

Couldn't tell if you have a vert or coupe. Quite a bit of room in the vert for sure. We have a coupe, and have found it works great for a 2.5 week/3k fall trip, and we'll use it again no problem. As others have said, you might want to ship your clubs, or rent them there? The following may help for either a vert or coupe (from a post I made some time ago):

Luggage space: We contemplated getting a convert, but although they have really good storage for a convertible, we needed the extra space for our planned two week trips. I found some bags that really worked well and got two large bags to pack most of our stuff. The large bags have other smaller bags that you pack like items in (such as shirts in one, underwear, pants, shorts, etc.) and the smaller bags line up inside the larger bags. The large bags have a shoe storage area that’s accessible from the outside of the bag. Very handy. This made it really easy to pack. If you’re interested, here is the Amazon link:

I put two cinch straps on each large bag to provide extra small footprints.
You can really stuff a lot of luggage in the coupes. In addition to the two large bags, we fit a small cooler, large ‘goodie’ basket, a roll aboard bag, my computer bag, camera bag, soft bag with car cleaning stuff, fly fishing equipment (2 rods, waders, boots, guide pack, etc.), dress bag, and various other stuff.
Another item that really helps when loading and unloading baggage over the spoiler and rear bumper is this item: http://www.corvettemods.com/C7-Corve...or_p_9204.html . It worked great to protect the paint – also doubled as a cover for all the stuff under that hatch so no one could see what was loaded in the car.

There is plenty of room for sticks and luggage, just do some "dry" runs before packing the car.
I would use Ship Sticks and pick them up at the course, it's cheap and safe. Just call the course to be sure that they will accept delivery of them before shipping.
