I am looking at Corvette Stage II side skirts for my C7.
Anyone have any opinions / experience with them?
Do they change the road clearance?
Do the collect dirt?
Do they scratch while getting out?
I have seen them at Corvette Mods website.

 

TOTAL magnet for dust/grit/door seal water drips
leading edge gets grit worn
grit gets trapped between skirt/rocker panel
lower ground clearance
will inevitably scuff/scratch 'em

 

A few days ago I installed the RPI skirts on our 2016. They don't change the gound clearance by much, too soon to tell if they collect dirt, but they do stop the rock rash on the side of the car, especially in front of the rear tire area of the body behind the doors. I had EXPEL installed on them so they won't scratch. Ours are painted carbon flash like the spoiler, mirrors and emblem from the factory. Our car came with the GM fender splash guards as well.

On red they look great, too.

Like most have said adds protection to side rocker and makes the car look lower.
