does anyone have any sort of security camera/video device installed in car? with the tint, plus blind spots I would think I would be difficult, however, I have had some dealings with haters. purposely blocking vehicle, too me about 30 minutes to get out because no one would fess up to owning the giant truck. Also, having shopping carts around car even though I try to not park so far out as to be obvious, but I don't park 5 spaces from bldg. either. So if anyone has something like this, I would appreciate advice.
thanks
John

I am into this system for about $120.oo. It is on par for a basic home system. It is NOT motion detected, runs all day and all night. Not the best, but I was just toying with. I use VLP media to view.
Couple of shots taken from my computer monitor using my iphone.
Yes had hatters years 2 with first vette
Was shocked that they existed and some so bad they I. Feared damage and yeas later did have a show car knifed (cut into body metal ) so yeah I also would like to get a full time cam....
Cool application. Where did you mount the interior cameras? Or are they put in place only when you leave the car? I've wanted something like this for road trips when you have to park in hotel parking lots, etc. Thanks.
Couple of pics with camera location. I used double sided tape to adhere to side panels and back glass. The DVR is in the trunk cubby, power is from rear power port.
Also a link to the video I used to learn how to remove panels to hide wiring. Just need to watch from 1:16 to 2:40
Thanks Jaden. I've wanted something like this. I've felt somewhat vulnerable in times past. Last vacation I used a driveway motion sensor, just laid on the console at shut down, and the receiver was taken to my room. If anyone opened my car the sensor would beep in my hotel room and I could run out in time to see the perp run off, most likely.
You may check mavlon tech to see if you could find any security camera that matches your needs. I have been using their cameras in my garage and they have been working great.
Had it for a few months and it's been great, especially for the price. It has several features such as auto record, motion, parking mode that takes fewer frames/second but also goes into full record mode if motion is detected, etc., so it may work for the OP's desired use. It does need to be wired though.
I use the PDR in my C7 while driving just in case something bad happens.
I like the idea of dash cams because there are so many distracted drivers causing wrecks, I just want to help stack the deck in our favor.
