Should I wait?
I'm ready to pull the trigger
Finally
I'm curious if anyone thinks I should wait to see if GM comes out with any incentives. Currently there is the $1,000 rebate if you trade in a non gm vehicle but that won't work for me. I'm trying to see how many GM points I'm allowed to use but I know there are usually additional discounts as well.
I haven't seen a USAA discount or a credit union discount listed anywhere.
Anyways, I ask because I read somewhere sales were down 20% February compared to February 2015. Plus the announcement of the GS makes me think some who were going to purchase will be holding back until August. I love the GS look but for me it's not as noticeable as it was with the C6. In fact, it's hard for some people to tell unless they know what they are looking at. Still an awesome looking car but I won't lose any sleep over having a Z51.
What do you guys think? Any insider info?

We are coming up on the nice weather when the vettes sell the most. If there were going to be any further incentives, it would have happened over the coldest winter months and I think 12% was it.

Correct...... this is what we did.To help answer the OP's original question, is you could WAIT FOREVER waiting for multiple incentives...... who knows when USAA will put their incentive back on..... I've used that one on 2 different previous Vettes. Wasn't offered when we just bought ours.
In fact, there were NO offers when we ordered mid Dec but when the car came in and ready for pick up, there was the $1000 off for NON GM owners.
USAA Car buyer service is basically a joke & they send your name and e-mail address to every dealer in 100 miles.
However, the dealer could not beat their finance rates. They are very difficult to use - i.e. logging into a crappy website at the dealer's finance office to get them their certificate. But, I was shooting for that low interest rate.
Dealer's know which cars people want, and are more willing to deal with the ones they've had for a couple of months.
Best of luck to you & enjoy the experience! I cannot get the smile off me face!!!!

A few Corvettes ago, we were picking up our new Vette at Kerbeck and I didn't know about the $750 USAA Rebate for having them for car insurance. When we met with the Business Mgr for signing paperwork and he saw that we had USAA they cut us a check for it....... This was TOTALLY after the deal was done and we were signing. Nice surprise.
We asked again this time, but no USAA promotion going. Just the $1k for owning a NON GM car which we did get.

Get the car now and enjoy it this summer.

I see that you mentioned USAA discount. I have seen USAA discounts of about $750 in the past just for being a member/having their insurance. However, if you are a USAA member (which I'm guessing you are), I would log into your USAA account and use their car buying section to build the car you want. It will tell you the price and I believe it also tells you what dealers in your area will work with USAA. I just used them for the car I ordered on 1/11/2016 and then picked up at the dealer 2 days ago. When I was ordering the car, I told them I am using the USAA car buying service. After I built the car, they adjusted the price to the car buying service price. I ended up saving around $4000. I then saved another $1000 because I drove a Dodge truck to the dealer the day I picked the car up. Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps.

As for me? If nothing "new" is added, I will just order a 2016 3LT Z51 @ 12% off from one of the Forum Dealers. If there IS something new (which usually is the case), I will be very happy that I waited.

Don't wait, get it, enjoy it and don't look back.

If I did mine over I would have just bought an ordinary convert. instead of buying a Z51 I had no need for all the extra things in the Z51.
If you don't plan on ever seeing a drag strip why get a car made for the strip, it was a mistake I made, if I ever buy another C7 it will just be the ordinary car.
