Good to know that. I was thinking of trying to get mine to fit. I'm sure it will now thanks to your test. Originally Posted by raylo

Yup...no issues with putting a wheels off bike in a coupe. I took my coupe to a group ride the fourth week I had it and got lots of compliments when I unloaded the bike and put the wheels on. Not too many vettes show up to bike rides.Originally Posted by raylo

One tip though...I usually have the handlebars at the back of the car and the rear triangle up to the front - i.e. behind the seats.
Nice Linskey.gets a little cumbersome to break down those S&S couplers. Nice to see a full frame in the back.Good to know my 56 cm would fit too if it had to.handle bar clearance probably not an issue with hatch.

Lots of people just do not realize how much room is available in the back of a Vette. Been that way for quite a while. I have packed quite a bit of stuff in the hatch area of my C5 coupe.

This is really my travel bike with the S&S couplers. Works great for free airline transport and it really isn't that hard to disassemble and reassemble.

I just helped my friends buy a really nice C5 coupe. It has more room then the C7 inside. They are planning to install a hitch bike rack on it to transport their tandem bicycle. That'll be a sight but not as ridiculous as when they used to do that with a Miata. The bike looked bigger than that car.

A 54cm Specialized Roubaix plops right in without the front wheel, but with the rear wheel still in the dropouts, no adjustment needed. I'd be tempted to try the 60 cm frame after moving the right seat all the way forward and possibly removing, lowering the seatpost. Here's a pic of the Roubaix.
NOTE: The bars are on the right with the seat moved forward for maximum storage capability.

Last year I drove 1600km each way to compete in a point to point mountain bike race and had no problems using my Sea Sucker Bike Rack on the Corvette. Left plenty of room inside for my gear for the two week long road trip.
While it's nice to know that my 60cm Focus would fit, I prefer to use my Silverado for transport.

Most of the time I do a road ride, I take the Highlander and I always use it for mountain bike rides. But I used to like to take the old C5 to a road ride meet every now and then and let the other guys and gals drool over it. I just got the C7 and they don't know about it. If they drooled over the C5, can you imagine what's going to happen when I pull up in a C7. This is gonna be fun!Originally Posted by bradc6

That's the beauty of the coupe over the Vert. I often load a large wheel chair in mine with no issues at all.

I have a 54cm Tarmac, fits easily, but sadly, I can't remove the roof. 1st world problem I love having.
So weird how many people drive SUVs or trucks to transport a 17 pound bicycle.
I can't wait to drive the vette to events, here in CA, the events are always in amazing places; from Tahoe to Death Valley, and all along the coast of course.
I'm just glad I blew 70 grand on a car that I can drive to these events, with a bike packed into it, hitting corners at 1G, hitting 60 in 4 seconds, or just cruising with 30mpg while I relax with the ******* fans on.

I put a Curt hitch and a nice bike rack on my C6 Z06.
It worked well.
Total cost : Under $300
Extra benefit: I could haul my jet ski and motorcycle also !!
