I used an Audison Bit Ten so I could control the volume with the stock HU. Also, I'm not sure why you didn't just mount the tweeters in the doors. There is plenty of room. That way your install is stealth. Were I live having anything out in the open is asking for a break-in. I also used the stock sub box and a low profile 8" sub and it put out wonderful tight bass.
This is next level install, and one day to show eventually in a car show or two...
Can you tell us what your overall plan for the system is? Component choices etc? What are your goals? I used to do professional car audio system installs but I'd be hesitant to be disassembling my brand new C7 door panels and other areas. That said, I'd love a audiophile-grade system especially if it worked with the stock HU. Can't wait to see the result!
Hey Maz....all of the components are in the pic above withe email boxes in front of the car....but all focal K2 speakers, and Mosconi Amps. The audiophile, listening pleasure ispeaking really really really smooth. The Installer is currently the reigning "Installer of the Year" in the country. I had to take the car today with a modest tune...but when I return in a week they will have it for an additional week or two to finish up such enclosure. With keep you posted

HQ equipment and looks like HQ install, but I have to agree with this statement.
nice build and nice stuff love Focal speakers. So do you mind saying how much. And I have a question. I am building a new boat stereo now with jl audio. for base with this amp 600/1
How is the installer getting a flat signal from the HU? I'm guessing most of the equalization in the factory system is done by the Bose amps.
Mosconi 6to8 is is the brains taking any factory signal and sending them your aftermarket amps. Their is nothing of Bose left in the car. HU is zeroed out on the eq. And eq within mosconi software is tuned from there.
One 10" subwoofer in the correct sized box will put out plenty of hard pounding bass. Just make sure you buy an amp that has a remote bass **** so you can adjust the gain of the bass for each track. It's a must have to smooth out the system. Some tracks have distorted bass and you'll need to back off a little and sometimes too much bass will distort other parts of the music. The effects of two drivers are minimal and you can get into problems with two drivers in the same box. I like Alpine amps.

Those Jl bass subs have an rms of 300 watts. So the 600/1 is a perfect match for 2 of them. Would run amp in a 2 ohm configuration. I had 2 of these on a previous boat. You can thump them all day and night,. Very good sound.
My equipment alone is over $10k...overall build will supersede $25k.. As it's an hourly rate for custom. Can comparable sound hq be had for 5-10k? Sure...but this is an entirely different animal that's been in my sights for a very long time.
I spent about 2k with the installer. I would love to put my system against yours. Are you in NY by any chance?

No sir JP ...MD for Maryland. Lol . As cute as that would be, I have no interest in seeing who has the bigger stick as it relates to my enjoyment for hq car audio. Teaming up with The Installer of the Year for a one-of install was.
Just want to share since so many like myself do not like the Bose stock paper speakers.
I'm just interested in your install and what it sounds like. It might make me re-think my install options. I'm sure your system is awesome. In a car with road noise, poor acoustics, etc. you can only get so much out of a system. Thanks for posting. All your components are first class. Enjoy!

Yes sir.. Luhansk. I will share complete build when it done. I'm on way back in town from Sebring now. Will drop back off to them on Wednesday to finish up.
The tweeter pods are made of 100% cast cell acrylic, layered together. The front trim ring is brushed aluminum to match the accents on the door. The front trim ring / grille assembly attaches to the pod with magnets for easy access. There are threaded 1/4-20 inserts mounted into the bottom of the pod for a secure mount to the door panel. Only thing that is not pictured is to wrap the rear insert in black matching leather.
The amp rack houses (3) Mosconi AS Amplifiers. It has a removable insert to gain access to all the system fuses and BCM fuses. It is finished in black alcantara suede, brushed aluminum, and matching red leather. The customer asked for some lit acrylic inserts to accent the product.
The enclosure is layered to create its shape. It houses (2) Focal Flax 8" subwoofers. It has a brushed aluminum trim ring with press grill. It sits in an Alcantara insert that attaches to the enclosure which is wrapped in matching Red Spice leather. A light shines under the arc to accent the shape. The enclosure flows into the amp rack with a "belt" break that features a 1/4 layer of brushed aluminum, 1/2 layer of red spice leather, and 1/4 layer of brushed aluminum.
I'm in awe...I have been searching for top SQ since I was 17...been close on an occass8or two...but this takes the cake.
From the owner of the shop with over 30 years in the biz:
"One of the tightest, warmest systems I've ever heard. Much like a pair of studio monitor quality speakers".
From: Calgary, AB. There's a reason why white was the only color offered on every year Corvette. Proud Canadian German Jamaican!

I would love to do that but unfortunately I use my cargo area. Nice work, I have to figure out a way to amp up my stereo without losing any of it's factory utility.
