I searched for the problem, it seems that mine is doing something different.
When the car shakes alittle the image on the screen flickers and I get Service Rear Vision. I disconected and reconected the plug, same thing. My display is fine (seems other people had problem with the display itself).
I don't have an american GM dealer in my country, so it's up to me to fix it...would a new camera solve the problem ?
I disconected and reconected the plug, same thing.
What plug did you disconnect and reconnect ?
The one under the rear bumper Fascia in the center coming off
the camera and plugging in to the wiring harness???
I did disconect the one on the boot floor, around the ECU area...is there one under the rear bumper too ?
Yes, I had the same problem with flickering rear view camera and
random "Service Rear Vision" black screen, Took it to dealer several times and they could never get it fixed.
When I installed a Z06/Z07 rear spoiler on my Z51, I had to remove the rear fascia. There are two connectors behind the fascia, one for the tail/turn signal lights and the other for the rear camera. This is the one that I disconnected/reconnected to install the spoiler and since then my rear camera has worked great. I have an early 2014 C7, S/N 1459 and figured they had some initial problems.

Did!! In fact I sent a copy of the text to my Service Adv. for his take on if they would take a shot at "fixing" it via connector massage.....no word back yet......LK
