When i plug into any of the the three USB ports using the 4 foot long USB cord that came with the phone nothing happens with Android Auto. (The phone does beep and indicate that its charging) When I then open the app on my phone it says "connect your phone to your car." If i go into "Settings" on the car and open Android Auto, it say Android Auto "is on." I then tap "Manage Android Auto Devices" and it says "No Content Available." There is a button to "Add Devices" but it doesn't do anything presumably because the phone is not recognized as being connected.
Anyone have a similar experience and maybe a solution?
Thanks
EDIT-- I kept searching a found a solution on a Honda forum that worked for my S7. From the top of the phone screen, pull down to where you get the quick settings menu. When you see "connected for charging", you'll need to tap that to see other USB options. Then, tap "Connecting MIDI devices" and the Projection icon on the screen will change to the Android Auto icon. Tap the Android Auto icon and it Android Auto should start.
