Hard to tell if those are the painted silver or chrome. In either case, both cars have the standard Z51 style wheels. If they are painted silver, they are RPO Q7S. If chrome, Q7E. The black wheels are Q7T.

How can you tell if they are painted or real?

Painted or real? They all have some sort of finish. Either chrome or paint. The wheels are aluminum.

There is no painted chrome. They are either chrome, painted silver or painted black.

FWIW, those wheels are no longer exclusive to the Z51 option. They are required as part of the Magnetic ride control option. So they can be had without the Z51 package, therefore not technically Z51 wheels anymore although widely considered that.

Chrome is a plating, not a paint or base material.

The wheels were also used on 2015 ZF1 package which was a look alike Z51 without the slotted rotors.
