Default Bluetooth Issue?

I have a 14 model and was wondering if any other members have experienced Bluetooth issues. I also have a Samsung S6 phone that will connect to the infotainment via Bluetooth but continuously disconnects and reconnects to the point that I have to turn the Bluetooth off on my phone. I have deleted phone from the car and the car from the phone and repaired them with the same problem.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I also have a 14 and Galaxy S6 and have been experiencing the same issues. Some days it works fine and others it constantly connects and disconnects whether Bluetooth or plugged in. I haven't found a solid solution to fix it yet.

Number of Threads on this In my case a 2015 that does the same thing with an Iphone 5 opened a case with Apple and they had me try my wife's which is the same model and it did not seem to do it so they said the BT sender in the phone is bad and $269 to fix.

Some stated there is an Infotainment Update available a couple weeks ago and my dealer is doing the A8 update and checking for it this week. I think it may be a software issue between the Infotainment System and the Smart Phone BT connection protocol as they are probably similar on all smart phone platforms. Mind did not start till an Apple OS update.

Have you done a software update recently on your phones?

If your phone was updated to Marshmellow then this is why you are having problems. The last three updates has caused Bluetooth connectivity to become worse and worse until Marshmellow practically broke it.

Only way it works reliably for me now is to power cycle my phone, then it'll work "mostly" for a day, and start over again.

Even so, I don't receive calls via bluetooth anymore. I can call out, but I never hear the calls come in.

Google has received tons of complaints over in their debugging forums for just about every phone imaginable having bluetooth connectivity issues with vehicles.

I love my HTC One M8. So much so that I went shopping for a new phone and saw nothing I liked better. But if I can't get this issue fixed I'm going to be reactivating a much older (and slower) phone because I need that connectivity with my wife's health issues.... I just can't afford to miss a call.

I had an S6 Edge Plus - worked fine. I lost that and updated to an S7 with Marshmellow. No problems at all.

My HTC phone has worked just fine with my 2014 Z51 w/nav UNTIL I recently upgraded the maps in the nav. Now I can't pair my phone with the car. Hell, my phone doesn't even SEE the car anymore

You should take that to the dealer.

As said before my IPhone 5 was doing the same thing. Apple had me try my wife's iPhone 5 and it worked properly so they scheduled service bar today about an hour away. Would have cost $269 to "fix" had my wife's phone on Blue Tooth all the way over again with no problem. Instead of paying $269 for a fix got $100 trade and the SE starts at $399 16gb and $499 for 64gb. So for $120 more instead of fixing got a 64 GB SE. Blue Tooth is excellent.

Bottom line not an infotainment issue but a hardware problem with the smart phone. BTY wife got anew one too.
