I'm looking to buy a 2014 Corvette. Was there a lot of problems like transmission, or overheating? It's a GM certified so I have extra warranty. And suggestions of wether to buy or get a 2015?
Had my 2014 Z51 3LT since Sept 2013, early build, and never been in the shop other than to get a software update for the HVAC. Perfect so far, at 17K miles.
I ordered my 2014 in April of 2014 and took delivery in May. It is my daily driver. My Vette has 22,000 miles on it and has only been to the dealer for oil changes. The build quality of my Vette is very good.

Oct 2013 delivery
Early software update
28000 perfect (and fun!) miles.
Buy one--you will LOVE this car!
If you are getting an auto trans, then the 2014 has a 6 speed auto, while the 2015 has an 8 speed auto. The only other significant difference is the 2014 with navi does not have a PDR, while the 2015 does-only relevant if you want this feature. other than that, the 2014 is really the same car as a 2015.

From being on this forum forever, and reading many post, I wouldn't be afraid of a '14. The early 15's had a few problems with the new A8. I test drove a '14 before buying, and it was a great car. If the price is good for you, jump on it.

I could not be more satisfied with my 2014.
Mine is daily driver as well. 28,500 miles on her and not one problem. What a car!
We have a very early '14 convertible and have had 'zero' issues but we only have 8000 miles. If you want to invest in the GM extended warranty there are FORUM dealers that will give you a great price (Note that the warranty price is just as 'negotiable' as the price of the car) and it is transferable. which helps at re-sale time.
I guess my early build wasn't one of the lucky ones with no problems and I hope the new owner has most of them resolved. We expected more from a car in this price range and only 6K miles.
From: Calgary, AB. There's a reason why white was the only color offered on every year Corvette. Proud Canadian German Jamaican!

42,000 kms
took delivery Dec 20, 2013.
daily driver
replaced 2 rear axle seals and there was a loose connection for the display, all repaired under warranty.
2014 2LT
Had mine in once for defective back window (optics).
I am noticing the oil pressure gage needle flickers a bit shortly after the engine is started but that's it. I have posted a couple comments about it and it seems that I might be the only one with the complaint.
Might have a squeaky belt tensioner pully.
That said, I would buy it again.
Fun car and it gets lots of looks.
