This is what NavTool told me today - side view cameras only activated 15 mph and above to allow rear view to operate while backing and parking.
If they only activate above 15 why do they work in the video NavTool posted showing them activating while the car is idling. I think we have people at NavTool answering emails about the C7 unit that don't know anything about it.
Got mine in works like a dream now. It was a big PITA to get the wire from the pass side to drivers side. Not much room to even run a hanger thur from side to side with the cable on it.
I also hooked my feed wire into my console cig lighter hook up wires. That way didn't have to cut out a small piece & run power wire to fuse box. Robert

Vitaliy, the person I've been dealing with there for several months, sent me this yesterday:
"Side cameras work only above speeds of 15mph, otherwise when parallel parking you would not be able to use rear camera and turn signals, lane watch cameras can be activated over 15 MPH"
"I also found that when I am sitting at the 20 minute Central Florida stop lights with the signals on, waiting forever to turn, it is too much of a PITA to have to switch modes back so I can play with the radio while I burn off gallons of gas waiting forever at each stop light."
I have finally gotten my Navtool working fine after updating it.
The only problem I have now is with my Boyo VTK380HD cameras overheating in the side grills. I have proven by using another monator and disconnecting from the Navtool system that the heat air coming out the side grills heats up the cameras until the flicker and go out. When cooled down they work fine. Also when on the highway they work fine due to cool air flowing at higher speeds.
I was wondering if anyone else is have the same problem and if not when cameras are you using for side cameras if they are mounted in the side grills?

Is there any way to access the back of the installed camera to install some small styrofoam or spray expanding foam insulation?

Interpret for yourself.
After updating my NavTool yesterday, I discovered it is possible to activate the side view cameras below 15 mph as mine switch over to those inputs as I was using the turn signal sitting in my garage. There are different config options in the software that allow you different triggering modes for the cameras.
