Default Cleartastic Plus Kits

Just did a re install on my Cleartastic Plus kits with GREAT results Turned out flawless, on each piece installed.

I added the mirror kits, behind the front and rear wheel kit, and the Rocker panel/door protector kit.... oh, and the door handle cove area kit too..

Several weeks ago I did my original install, and for what ever reason, waited to do the final firm squeegee process on each piece until the next day, even though the very clear instructions said to do a soft, followed by a firm squeegee of each piece to get the water out from underneath...... Needless to say, I created my own mess and was not happy with the results. I did have another thread on this, but since all but the last response update, the rest of the thread was about my poor results. NONE of which was a result of the product, but my choosing to install it the way I thought would work better.

Ed, @ Cleartastic was really great to work with. He walked me through what I might have done wrong, which also included a little too much soap in my spray solution. We had a couple of phone conversations and he worked with me on a replacement order....

Great company service, the kind of place I like to work with !!!

Great product too...... I'd take pictures, but it's nearly invisible so it would be hard to see

It was really easy ..... just take your time. The largest piece was the rocker panel "L" shaped pieces and they were still only maybe 15 or 16" X 18" (including the narrow bottom horizontal leg of the "L"). Mostly all flat surfaces to work with. The mirror kits were a little tougher as it's all curved surfaces, but again, taking time, it all smoothed down perfectly and the seam in the middle lined up exactly.

Now, I might have to think twice about attempting to to the front bumper, if it was offered

Here my review:

They made the film larger compared to the OEM piece and now it goes over uneven body panels. This makes it very hard to line up no matter where you start, and this renders it a none DIY kit. Fair warning for those looking up reviews. Material is also too thick for this panel, should have been 3 parts altogether instead of going over the uneven panel part, wrinkles guaranteed. I'm an OCD ridden perfectionist. I can tear apart the entire car and put it back together working. Went 100% by instructions, hard first squeeze, 3 drops of Johnson baby shampoo without conditioner in 32oz distilled water and all.

Stay clear, chances are you will take it down and end up getting an Xpel job done somewhere locally.
