Unsure about a C7

At minimum, you should look for a 2016 with the front curb cameras and D bottom wheel. I'm sure you can probably get a great deal (I saw one for 20k off MSRP the other day) now that 2017s are around the corner.

OP, I come from a "Corvette Family" and everyone loves my C7. As Zymurgy said, people come to the forum to gripe about very rare and one off problems while there are several others of us with issue free cars. Trade up, the C7 is Awesome!
This afternoon I'm going to the bank. It's about 5 miles from my home. When I take the C7 it's a 50 mile trip. You'll love it!

For example, when you get a 2014 Corvette, you missed out on the nicer d bottom steering wheel, A8 transmission, front curb cams, trunk lid sealer, red on the dash for 3LZ, etc... So it's not so much that you get a "problematic" car per se, but more so that you COULD have gotten a better car by simply waiting an additional year or so.

As someone that was impressed with the C5 to C6 transition, I was floored at how different the C7 is from every generation of Corvette before it.
Totally different car from the C6. Very, very refined.
D Bottom Steering Wheel - Looks cool but my round one is also great. The MSRP price increase from a '14 to a '16+ doesn't justify me getting a cooler looking steering wheel.
A8 Transmission - I have a manual so I don't care
Curb Cam - No need, I know the length of my front end and have zero problems parking
Trunk Lid Sealer - Don't have problems with my trunk like some other posters
Red Dash for 3LT - I personally don't like red interiors
Yes, manufacturers are going to add features to cars as the years progress. It is a means for them to continue to gain buyers and have a justification behind their usual annual price increase. The same can be said for any product - cell phones, computers, tv's, etc. but there comes a point when you see something you like and it has everything you wanted so you go for it. I saw the C7, it had everything I wanted in a Vette plus more, so I bought it. Simple as that

Some of us do not like the D steering wheel (impedes high speed slalom time). There has been quite a few A8 problems. I am planning on trading my 2014 on 2017 and thinking of replacing the steering wheel with a round one. My 2014 convertible, M7 has been trouble free.
