Help....at a glass shop and they don't have a clue on how to remove the old windshield....let alone the tear view mirror or DVR .....help
Perhaps you should find another shop. Beware, there are many cables that run along the A pillar and can be cut when trying to cut the windshield out. I saw one at my dealer when I ordered my C7, cut at a local glass shop. That car was down for a couple of weeks. Good luck!

Gotta agree my friend. I would find another glass shop if at all possible. Good luck.
Absolutely find another shop. The C7 has been out long enough now there are instructions available to the trade describing windshield removal/replacement. I required a replacement on my C6 when it was quite new and few were on the road so the glass company asked if they could hold off for a few days until they got the R&R info. That was appreciated as it went smoothly with no issues.
Take it back to a DEALER! When my windshield cracked. Paul Koerner (CorvetteMechanic) advised me to work with my dealer. Best advise ever! The dealer's body shop dismantled the trim pieces and then worked with a local glass installer to replace the glass. Then the dealer reinstalled all the trim. Great job and they used the GM OEM glass to boot!
