Default Need Help Converting to front cameras

I sure could use some help from my friends on the forum. I have a 2015 coupe, and would like to change my front grille to a 2016 that has the cameras. I have the PDR system. I was told by some Corvette owners at a Corvette car show that it is an easy swap, just talk to the chevy dealer. I went to several dealers, and they can't seem to figure out what part numbers, (especially the wiring harness). Has anyone done the conversion, and if so, what are the part numbers I need to order. Thanks for your help.

Ok, there are TONs of threads on here but many have been deleted dealing with the horrific vendor Navtool who has been banned from the forum. I will NOT mention them anymore. I do not recommend you use them as they are shady at best.

There is another vendor that is good, called Naviks. Goggle them and you will find the C7 product. It is now plug and play from what I was told. It was not plug and play when I first installed it. Here is how I did it.

But please learn the lessons from there. Don't deal with Navtool. Don't buy the dual camera GM grille. If you like the style of the Z06 Grille, get that without the cameras. Add a single high quality camera in the center of the grille. If you get the Z06 grille, there are lots of choices of camera that will fit behind that grille. There are some cameras that will fit in the stingray grille, but since the openings are not as wide, you are limited. It is NOT necessary to change out the grille unless you want the Z06 or some other grille.

Yes, it is possible to use the dual GM cameras but it is NOT as good as using a single high quality camera. A quality camera will be over $150. A $10 fleabay camera will suck. I even found that a $50 Boyo camera, and I have used Boyo before, sucked.

Good luck.

You CANNOT swap out a 2015 front grill without camera's for a 2016 grill with camera's. Your head unit is not setup for this. The PDR has nothing to do with front grill camera's. It is not difficult to search the forum or goggle. More concerning is the lack of knowledge dealership parts departments continue to demonstrate. Sad state of affairs, and confusing to owners. Bottom line, you cannot convert your 2015 to accept 2016 front grill camera's. Sorry.
