Quick question.
I have my sound management set to Sport.
If I select Track on the MRC, will the sound level increase to track volume or stay in sport?
If not, might as well leave it on Auto and leave the MRC in Sport Mode
First, you have the option of having those settings paired or not (I think default is "Auto" or paired, you have to set this to OFF to "unpair" them if you don't want the engine sound management to change with MSRC mode).
Second, the volume doesn't change but rather when and how long the NPP valves open is subtly different between Sport and Track (I'm talking engine sound management, not MSRC, setting).
Personally, I unpaired them so engine sound stays in Track, unless I'm trying to get the Vette out of the garage without waking my whole family. I switch between Tour and Sport (MSRC) depending on the road condition, my mood, etc.
YMMV, enjoy!

This thread is discussing engine "sound" management (i.e., the NPP) not "ride" settings (the MSRC). They are two different things, although they can be linked if you want to do so.
Yes but I think what he's asking is if the Sound Management and MRC settings are not paired and are in conflict for when the NPP opens up....which one prevails.
Sounds like it's the Sound Management setting. I'm curious too.

At Spring Mountain we were warned not to use the track mode on the street. The shocks are so firm that you may damage the wheels
I run in Track Sport 1 everytime I drive. And roads in Minnesota are not that good. 9,000 miles later and I can confirm that driving in Track on the streets will not hurt the wheels or anything else on the car
Must be different on a 2014, because all I can do when I select "Engine Sound Management" is turn it off or on. When its off its loud all the time, and when its on it changes with the mode selector on the console. I DO have the NPP exhaust by the way. I assume this is normal?

Your settings are normal for 2014, they changed in later years.
My 2016 Z06 has auto/tour/sport/track (4 choices total) for engine sound management. Starting a Z06 in track mode definitely gets your attention
