I was just curious what some of your fast lap times are from Spring Mountain either in a Stingray or ZO6 on either track the 2.2 or the 2.4 with the Bus Stop.
my faster laps on the 2.4M with bus stop and loop in a Z51 during SM Level 2 course were in the 2.01- 2.02 range. My best was 2.01.3. I timed the instructor during their demo lap at 1:58.
1:59.226 on the 2.4 w/bus stop. Z51 M7. Guess I should submit the data and video.
Please do!
All the instructors at SM are very good, what would be awesome is to post the instructors PDR on their demo fast laps. Both Richie, and JJ have extremly fast lap times within the instructor ranks.
I just did the 2.4 last week in level 2. Drove an A8 Z06. Best lap was 2:02.56. Had issues with overheating after 4 to 5 laps. Great car but GM needs to get the overheating issue resolved.

AHA!, so the stories we heard about no overheating at SM are not true after all. I agree, GM really does need to come up with a fix. For a "track ready" car this is a fatal flaw IMHO.

I think we had a slower overall class than some of the others posting here. I ran the 2.2 on the Level 1 course at 1:51 with a M7 Z51. I thought that was pretty decent, but if I had a Z06, I think there's enough straightaways to shave 5 seconds off. I rarely had an open lap where I wasn't running up on somebody. (So glad I got the 3rd day option)
If you're not aware, they group you early on after following the instructor around the track. If you're hitting the lines, they start putting you in the higher groups.
I happened to be picking things up quick and was put into the 'elite' group (I overheard them call it that one time on the walkies). They're polite and understand there are egos coming in, so you really won't hear the group names directly (or even know the groups have names). They switched our camaro pace car out for a stingray during the second day because our speed was opening up. The rest of the groups kept camaros.
