Ferrari's newest and most powerful car other than the La Ferraria (at what $1.1 million or more?) lists for $490K
Saw a video clip of it yesterday and other than what appears to be a longer wheelbase, it looks very much like the C7, particularly in the grille area.
What's the line, "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?" Don
I like the Corvette - I really like my C7. But a Ferrari? IF I could afford it the Vette would be gone in a heartbeat. ANYONE who says "I'd rather have the Vette" is delusional. The Italians do everything with style and panache.
It was a "shoot_out" and line drawing comparison of the C7, F12 Berlinetta and a Porsche in C&D (or maybe MT), not sure which a couple of years ago, that caused the Corvette bug to bite me after nearly 20 years w/o one.
I mentioned to my wife that I was surprised Ferrari wasn't suing GM for stealing their design. Head on or side views can have you look twice and three times to make sure which car it really is (F12 or C7). Back side, definite difference.
Having always wanted a Ferrari but having enough zero's and comas in my bank account to buy one and then afford the maintenance, the C7 was the perfect solution to my dilemma and desire.

I can afford a Ferrari but I didn't buy one. I find the ride to be harsh.
Like driving the Z06 in track mode all the time. I love the exhaust but the ride is too harsh. Also I find Ferrari seats to be supportive but not comfortable. The Competitions seats are not as supportive but I can sit in them all day without discomfort.
I have a friend that bought an old one just to get in the Ferrari club so he could earn the privilege of being allowed to buy a new one. I have zero desire to kiss Italian *** let alone jump through the hoops he was willing to just to buy a car.

Geeze, this is a massive case of over reaction. Simply a remark about some styling cues and if Ferrari had those cues first, then wow, I'm actually WRONG!!! I suppose I'm the only one on this forum to ever be wrong?? Don

People on this forum never politely disagree here anymore. They HAMMER you. Must be the political climate.
F car is a dream for every car guy- But the reality is such that the maintenance for an out of warranty f car can be astounding which on principle prevents me from buying one . Especially where there are only a couple of dealers - who show no mercy . Various model years are plagued with expensive issues based on bad design.
Italian leather is nice but not durable, shrinking dashboards , poor seat bolster wear , I could go on and on .
Beautiful to look at ,lovely to drive , ridiculous to maintain - like the women you want but know you better not mess with.
I went through my Italian phase (4 Ferrari's 3 Maserati's 1 Lamborghini and if you count the Abarth as 1 some do), and it was fun. I think that most owners of these cars will tell you there is nothing like driving one, even though 90% of them have never driven the car the way it needs to be driven to fully be appreciated. They need to be pushed to truly be enjoyed something most owners do not have the opportunity to do. For some it is because they only drive them around on the street when the weather is perfect, or they are worried something may happen that could hurt resale value. I have said this before owning a Ferrari is to some more about the experience of ownership (the looks the complements the feeling of hey look at me) than it is about the car. Certainly this is not all owners (I always hated the looks) and after the 430 (no more gearshift cars) Ferrari lost me forever. The C7 in my opinion is a perfect balance of drivability and performance, the only Ferrari that comes close to that is the California.
