Default C7 Headlights

I just had my new Z06 protected with Xpel. The installer was reluctant to do the headlights as he has heard they have a coating that doesn't like film on it. Anyone know about this??

I've read of spider cracks when you cover the headlight plastic.

My 2015 has had Expel on them for 18 months with exactly zero problems.

This was an issue for sure on some cars, not all. I've heard some P-cars had this problem.

I did extensive research on this, and the short version is I had them covered on my C7.

Newer Porsches are notorious for this. No problem on the C7, mine are covered in XPEL and he lifted and reapplied a couple times, something he said would have destroyed a newer Porsche light.

Picked mine up in Bowling Green in May 2014, had the front end (headlights included) XPEL'd two days later in Minnesota. 25000 miles later, no complaints about how it looks. Only person who's noticed I had the film on there is a friend who does vehicle vinyl wraps.

With all due respect, your installer is off. I have Premier Shield film on the headlights, ZERO issues. Frankly, any of the PPFs can be applied to headlights with no issues.
