Anyone have issues with their M7?
We have all seen numerous posts regarding issues with the A8. I am curious to know if anyone has had any issues with their M7s. I have an M7 with less than 2k miles and it has been good so far, other than cold shifting from 1-2. All of my manuals have been this way though. I have had several M6s and they have all been bullet proof. I am not trying to start an M7 vs A8 thread, just curious.

Most owners have the issue with the m7 as far as cold starts go. Some have had an issue where it pops out of second.
As far as reliability goes, the m7 is a great tranny for this car. If you want the best performance out of the vehicle, then the a8 is the way to go

No problems at all.

The shifter I installed is more precise without increasing the shift effort over the stock shifter.

2 years/23k miles on my M7 and I'm still loving it, great transmission. To make it even better I added some Zip shifter bushings and Redline D4 transmission fluid.
Bushings: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...7-shifter.html
Fluid: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...d-service.html
The feel with the polyurethane bushings is much more direct and precise, and the synthetic fluid is definitely better when cold.

It's not something I really care about. After 2 miles it is fine. I don't leave my car outside. It lives in a climate controlled garage so that may be one reason mine does not bother me.

5000 miles on my 2016 with an MGW installed and it works great minus 1-2 for the first fifteen minutes or so.

Works great. Have come to grips with hill hold, when you want it engaged (for sure) let the car drift back a little and brake the car to a stop. Always engages. Actually works real good. Maybe the later versions work better, I have a midyear 2014.

I have to issues when cold. First gear is rough to engage when cold, though the 1-2 issue is far less pronounced in my case. When warm, it has zero issues though it did take time to get used to 7th gear.

'14 with 16k and just like the others, it's perfect.
I've not noticed the 1-2 cold thing since I am so very strong (ok, maybe I noticed a little).

No issues with mine - and the Callaway shifter is great.
