Default Cags

I just purchased a 2015 coupe 2LT MN7 with electronic ride control and rev matching. I was told that the 1-4 skip would not occur if you were in the sport mode. However it occurred a few times.

I then set the mode to S and set rev matching on. I must have tried 10 times to start out slowly and get the 1-4 skip to work. But it did not.

Decided not to tear away the insulation around the trans wiring harnesses to install the eliminator.

Regards,
Dave K.

Removing the insulation (plastic cup) is no big deal. You just zip tie the eliminator to the housing.
My C6 had no insulation and I ran that setup for 5 years.

Skip shift occurs in any mode. It's never even kicked into play when I've been driving. Like you, I forced mine so I would know what it feels like. It's possible the prior owner already installed the eliminator if you can't force it.

Hey Dave -

Do you have a question?

My car does it all the time - but I shift low and drive slow. I just double pull and it slides right into 2nd.

I'll be installing the CAGS - once the car is on the lift - takes about 30 seconds to install.

Thanks but no further questions.

Can you just replace the fuse with a resistor like you can for the C6? Very easy and you can change it back in 30 seconds if you want.
