The Vette is on the list. The most common problems are the electronics and climate control. Anybody experience this?

I haven't had any issues with my electronics or climate control. Hmmm... I find my Stingray to have better electronics than my BMW 435 DD. It works better with my iPhone, and the climate control works great and is easy to use.
It's a bit more complicated to set up than the C6 was but right on par with most of today's cars. Could this be the source of the bad reviews and not necessarily electronics failing?

There are many here who question the accuracy of CR's statistics. It's hard to argue with that when these so-called "experts" have this to say about the Corvette:
"... The car's all-aluminum construction optimizes weight savings and strength. ..."
(This from their 2016 annual auto issue, pg.39)
All-aluminum? Really? They said the same thing last year too.

I have to agree the climate control is not very consistence when you set it to a temperature in auto. When set to a cooler temp like 68 it will start blowing warm air off and on. Not a big deal but expected it to be better for what this car costs.
Mine is a 2016. I have no issues. I thinks the climate control could be better though. If my windows fog up I have to manually put on the defrost, except the rear window will turn on the defrost.
I think the electronics are great. But I think some folks have a difficult time configuring them and setting them up. That is with all cars now days. Fortunately I have a computer and technology background. My wife frequently will say. "I wonder what normal people do to set this stuff up without having a geek in the family?".
I have no issues with the engine.
The only issue I have had with the car is that the windshield developed a crack in the upper right hand corner. You can feel it from the inside and not the outside. The dealer is getting a replacement for me. I have 7,300 miles on the car and going in for an oil change this morning.

Joemessman, I had the same issue with my windshield. It broke in the top corner above the driver. The inner glass broke, not the outer layer. Dealer had new GM windshield replaced by local windshield shop on warranty.

The last thread about the CR article came to the same conclusion...bunk.
Don't think they had a real world sampling of all the C7 owners, just picked out the complaints and made a judgement from there.
21,000 miles on my '15 without an issue.

I had both a '14 and a '16 and if you drive the car daily in 40-100 degree weather the auto climate control is not the best.
I mean it works, but not as well an the majority of other auto climate control cars/trucks I have owned. Have to remember you have a small cabin, ton of heat coming from the bottom, lot of glass, so its not easy to keep you at the desired temp. I'm not sure I would call it a major complaint though, just an observation.
As far as the electronics they both have had minor quirks that have 'fixed' themselves after a restart or sitting overnight. But nothing that had made the car undriveable. But I'm sure some owners have had some wiring/electrical issues that were not easy to fix, lot of electronics in these things..

No issues of any kind with my C7. I stopped paying attention to CR many years ago. If they say it is bad, I figure it is a good buy. When I bought my 2001 Ram 2500, CR said it was an unreliable piece of junk and the worst truck anyone could buy. Drove it in all conditions and worked it hard for 14 years (towing, hauling, off-road, snow, mud, short trips, long trips, etc.). Not a single problem of any significance.

We've been through this recently. If people actually made their car-buying decisions using Consumer Reports, no one would by a vette and everyone would by a Honda Civic. Citing them is useless and reporting your problems based on their observations is simply anecdotal.
