I'm kicking myself now for not getting the Performance Exhaust when I got my C7. Is this something I can have the dealer install? If so, how much will it cost? I'd like to stay OEM on this because I want to be able change the exhaust note with my mode dial.
The problem is the software for the NPP. I've read on here numerous times that GM will not supply the software for the NPP system. I guess its pretty involved. Akropovic makes an aftermarket exhaust that gives you NPP like control over it, but get out your checkbook because its expensive.
I have the NPP, and still went with the Corsa Extremes, which eliminates the sound management feature. I knew that I would never use any other sound mode but track.
Edit: The NPP is a novelty option... As mentioned, go with a good aftermarket set-up and don't look back. Also, you'll get better looking tips

I can not disagree more with you that NPP is a "novelty option". NPP provides the best of all worlds especially given the fact I can control the sound through Sound Management. I really like the ability to switch between full growl to near silent mode on long road trips. Truly the best of both worlds.
As a side note, the 2017 Porche 911 Turbo will have the same sound control option as the C7 with NPP. A novelty, NOT!

... and I cannot disagree with you more.
I had it, and it's now disabled. I can control the volume with the pedal. I thought that the OEM NPP was way too quiet on my Z06.

How do i access the sound management?? I love my npp sound, great feature
Good for you...just know you are the FIRST I have read that feels that way
I wonder why the 2017 Porsche 911 decide to follow Corvettes lead with sound management?
Put me down as the second then... I leave it in track mode all the time and while I always wanted an adjustable exhaust note, I never use it now haha (always wide open).
Nothing personal bud, just the way I like it (thinking extremes too).
I have a Corsa system to include their X pipe and the car isn't really all that loud until I put the pedal to the metal. If you're still apprehensive about the aggressiveness, then go for an axle back system. Maybe a Borla Sport?

I don't think u can add NPP after. Although NPP still remains a very popular, if not the most demanded option by C7 owners, your only choice now is to go with aftermarket products.
I like NPP. There are times I do not want to draw attention.
When the wifey in the car. I just put the Borla ATKA system on my car with the NPP. Cost was 2,k with one of the other vendors. But like stock until you put it in track r sport mode then it is really nice in the car. Robert

This is something I'm debating. I'm going with Kooks headers and X pipe with stock NPP Valveback. If I don't like the sound I'll probably be going with the Corsa again as it was on my first C7 but I like to be able to quiet it down in case I see any LEO
