There's enough going on indoors that a little rain won't get in the way of having fun. In addition, the outdoor area where the 2017s will be on exhibit is partially covered. I've been there during rain and all was still great.
Thanks. Sounds great. Is a folding chair needed? I read something about bringing a folding chair to the track. Is it an open track day or is there an actual race?

I suppose there are some who spend time in a folding chair but I never have (nor have I ever driven on the track or even had my Corvette there due to the distance). The essence of the bash takes place inside the museum and on its grounds; the only reason IMO to take a chair would be if you wanted to just sit outdoors and chill.
As for the track, I thought they were building a grandstand for seating but I have no idea whether or not it's been completed. There's no race that I know of; hopefully someone else will chime in on whether or not you'll be able to actually drive your car on the track.
No need for a folding chair. No race at the track either. They are doing parade laps on Thursday and Friday afternoons with a pace car at normal driving speeds. You have to sign up for that. There is a viewing area at the track for spectators.
We are driving up Wednesday morning rain or shine - looking forward to another great road trip in the Vette. If I have to drive in the rain, I'd rather be driving in a Corvette!
As others have said, plenty to do indoors. We had some rain last year, including a monster thunderstorm just as the banquet was ending on Saturday night. Even had some rain on one of our tours on Friday, but the car didn't melt and came clean as a pin when I gave it a bath .

We're having an HPDE Thurs-Fri.
I don't know anything about any Parade Laps, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had some during lunch time when we take an hour break from running track sessions.
Don't worry about the rain. There was rain last year, but not enough to spoil the fun. The cars won't melt, you won't melt, it's just water. Go have fun, wish I could go this year. Ya'll enjoy the party.
I'll be there, seeing as I have an appointment with Corsa to install an exhaust there on Saturday! I'm only an 1 hr 15 away, hopefully it won't rain the whole way, otherwise my wife might not come. She's driving separately since I will be taking a young Corvette enthusiast along with me on the ride. See ya'll there!
Forecast is looking better. Tomorrow is warm and sunny. Friday looks great and only a chance of TS on Saturday. Heading out tomorrow morning, 629 miles of driving bliss!

Jon, you'll love the Corsa exhaust. I had mine installed there last year. I can't attend this year.....
We are here, had a great trip up from Atlanta. Sharing a beautiful lake home on Barren River Lake about 20 miles east of the museum with Marcho Polo and his wife, and my pal Robert and his GF Teresa.
We were a little delayed arriving because Robert stopped in Nashville to purchase a 2012 C6 Grand Sport, M6, loaded with MSRC, NPP, Nav, 3LT. Red with Black interior. Only 1,700 miles on it! Stunning car! Got a fantastic deal on it - one owner.
Had a heavy T-Storm during dinner at Chuys, but otherwise, it was a beautiful drive up. Excited about the Forum dinner tomorrow!

Glad I got out of Waxahachie late today . I missed all the rain. Going to take in the Jack Daniels distillery first thing in the am then drive straight up to BG. Should be there early afternoon.
