I have a mid year model 2014 convertible. The drivers door opens only if I push the door button two times. The first push lowers the window and releases the door latch to the first closed (safety) position. Another push opens the door completely. I made a conscious effort to get the door to open with just one firmly held push of the button to no avail. My door did open with only one push of the button previously. This operational quirk just developed within the last few weeks. The passenger door works with only one push of the button. Anyone else experienced this quirk. 6,000 miles total.
Larry, it could be the pad is the problem. In the C6's the door pad connections were bad to corrode causing the problem you described. It's a cheap, and easy fix. Hope that's all it is on yours.

Thanks! My previous C6 never exhibited any of the above symptoms. I kept that car seven years. We will see.
I have an early 2014 vert (7,600 miles) and twice recently the driver's door couldn't be opened with the button and I had to use the floor release. Once opened, the button worked until the second time, works again now. If it occurs any more, I'll have to take it to the dealer, but not anxious to have them take the door panel off. Probably will take two visits: one to assess and one to fix.

My 07 started at around 6 years. Bought a set of pads for less than 30 bucks off Ebay. Took the old ones off, cleaned them, and when I traded I gave them to the dealer to pass them on.
Also, maybe you could try a little WD40 in the latch. Who knows, that may take care of the problem if the mechanism is a bit dry.

Did you get this resolved? My '15 C7 w/ 13k miles started doing this exact same thing (intermittently) a couple weeks ago. I've cleaned and lubed the mechanism a couple of times but that did not help.
damn driver door issues. My battery died recently and now the only way to open my door is manually from the floor. I hit the button on the outside or inside and the window will index down a little and go back up but that it. When I do hit the button however I here the gas door mechanism make noise. Go figure. Good luck
