I searched the forum and I didn't find simple instructions for a tech dummy. I didn't go to the owners manual yet. My car has this which I never would have ordered but I might as well try it out. I guess I start by buying a SIM card. I don't plan to track this vert. When would you use this for normal street driving?
I found some videos on youtube, and a quick reference guide. It looks really cool. I went to try it for the first time today, but it wouldnt read my card. I just ordered a new card. Hope to try it this weekend. I have only owned the car less than a week, and havent read the manual yet. I just discovered the track mode and engine sound setting...... FUN!!!
The SD card needs to be formatted FAT32 most SD cards do not come in FAT32 any longer if the card is over 64GB you will need to use an external utility to format the card
If you want to try your current card I would download something like the following and format the card.
I use my PDR as a dash cam yes people say be careful what you record with it as it can be used against you ... and they are right however there is a nice little delete button next to each session if you want to get rid of a recording.
The SD card goes in the glove box (left hand side) not the center console after you insert a SD card into that slot and it's properly formatted (FAT32) you can then press the PDR icon on the infotainment screen and you will be presented with a few options like start recording, playback delete, ect.
It's quick to understand after you have a card inserted
Additionally, there is also the free Cosworth Toolbox software which will run on Windows platforms. Even though this is geared more to the track guys, there is still a lot of useful metrics for the street driver who is in to the technical details of the car.
This 'thing' is a useful tool in other respects. One of the other aspects is a valet mode.
