2014 M7 Convertible; 55K miles - The touch screen continues to occasionally flicker, roll, or black out, for no apparent reason. It is very intermittent - sometimes days between symptoms. So far, I have been ably to reset and restore it by opening and closing the access door.
Has GM found a cause and solution to this problem yet?
That is good news. Except my warranty is long gone.
Do you consider yourself handy? Maybe order the updated replacement screen from your local Chevy Parts Counter and swap it out? I'm pretty sure you'll have to remove the dash however that can be done in about two hours. There's a video on YouTube on how to remove the standard dash and replace it with the CF dash (that's what I did). Same method I suppose...

fortunately, it's not a part price that will take your breath away, I was interested when they replaced mine,l so I ran the part # and I think cost was like $300 or so...and yes, its a pretty easy replacement job...

Mine is doing the same thing, I got a video of it. I have about a year left on warranty but am waiting for a total fail so they can't claim they couldn't replicate it. BTW, lowering the screen and raising it again seems to vibrate the connector, sometimes it help, sometimes it makes it worse.

You should talk with your dealer and GM. With all the issues and failures they have had since the initial C7 rollout, they should replace the unit under warranty anyways! Beats a class action lawsuit any day.
