Default C7 427?

Okay, so sadly I am Vetteless at the moment which has allowed me to wish, wish, wish on the future of my next purchase. Interestingly enough, I have conducted several searches and found nothing concerning possibility of a future 427 C7. Will just say, if that were to happen, I would sell my kids, my wife, my home and maybe my guns to purchase one. Nevermind, would never sell my guns. So, is there any speculation or guesses that a C7 427 might possibly be a future offering.

My son would like to take a 2017 C7 Z07 Grandsport, pull the motor and drop in a Weapon X built 427.

I am more of the mind to go with a stock Z06/Z07 or maybe a Callaway C7 Z07 Grandsport.

With the EPA restrictions in order to get a 427 C7 or Z06 I think you will have to build it yourself with an engine swap and not live or register your vehicle in California.

No. I'll add that as sweet as the notion of a 427 C7 sounds, the current offering of C7 engines makes it VERY easy to love these cars.

If you absolutely have to have a 427, that would be the route to go.

As I recall GM said the 2013 model year was the last of the 427c.i. engine. Yeah, I'd love to have one too.

Rumor mill has it that the 2018 Corvette ZR1 will have a mid-engine 427 supercharged engine!

I'd never own a 427. Too many dropped valves. I have a friend who has had 3 427 motors put into this Z06. first 2 dropped valves.

Hmm! Think you're swimming against the tide! With 7 lbs boost in a 6.2 Liter engine it's the equivalent of ~550 cid!
But since I don't care for a turbo or blower, I'll just order a naturally aspirated GS and "live" with the 850 Holley double pumper feeding the 502 cid engine in my ProStreet Rod!

Why? The new engines make a lot of power. There really is nothing to gain but an iconic 427 logo. The big blocks of the C2 and C3 are boat anchors compared to a C7ZO6.
