I've decided to purchase a top bag so I can slip the TT in the bag while I'm on road trips. Anyone that had a C6 chime in here....Corvette Central has the bags without the handles that look like they fit in the car better. What's the difference between the C6 bag and the C7 bag? Looks like the C6 bag #106169 has loops to attach it to the clips in the car so you don't have to lay it on your luggage. The C7 bag #607000 does not. I have been following information here that says the C6 bag works but nothing that said the loops will fit the clips if you move it to the C7. Any feedback is appreciated if you have knowledge of the pros and cons. Thanks.

 

I just purchased one of those C6 bags last week and it arrived over the weekend. When I get home tonight I'll check to see if it will latch into the clips in the back while still in the bag. I thought someone in another thread mentioned that it would, in fact that's the reason I bought one.

 

Let us know how that works ? Where did you buy it ? I have a C7

It doesn't work. I just tried and the holes don't line up and the Velcro closure points are super snug. It will work to store the extra top in the garage, but it won't latch into the hold down locations in the rear hatch area. I purchased mine on Ebay. Too bad.....

 

Good to know. I so wanted it to support on the clips as the C6 bag does. I have the one with the handles but it is pretty bulky compared to the photos of the C6 bag, takes up a lot of room in the hold. Thanks for doing the checking. Much appreciated.

 

I bought one of the C7 bags and the vendor mentioned that some owners have modified the bag so that it will fit the retainers. I don't like putting holes in the pretty new bag but my major reason for purchasing it was to provide protection for the roof from any luggage or packages. My wife is very talented with her sewing machine so I will probably contract the modification out to her
